About the Author

Matthew D. Berkshier was unleashed upon this world in the year of our Lord 1980.

Born and raised in Central Illinois, Matt developed a proclivity for spooky things early on and fell in love with the classic horror and sci-fi films of Universal, Hammer, and Toho. He also spent a lot of his time drawing pictures and comics featuring the characters that spoke to him most—monsters.

In high school, Matt expanded his horizons with the works of writers like Walt Whitman, Jack Kerouac, William Shakespeare, and Michael Moorcock, but it was the works of Stephen King and other horror writers that cranked his dials up to 11. It wasn't long before he started focusing on bringing the twisted stories in his head to life on paper.

Matt currently resides in Texas with his family.
